I love weddings. Especially when they are for a friend. I've known Jess since elementary school. We go back to days of walking to the store in town to spend whatever small amount of money we had on candy (who am I kidding, I still do that minus the walking....), chatting about boys, and playing Lemmings on the computer (anyone????). As we grew older, we did grow apart a bit, but thanks to the world of social networking and grocery stores, we have been able to catch up quite a bit. I was so excited when Jess asked me to photograph her wedding. I knew it was going to be both awesomely fun and really, really, cool. She was born an artist through and through. Her headpiece, shoes, flowers, and most decorations were all handmade. It was incredible. Jess and Eric had a fantastic ceremony complete with a rock-paper-scissors match to see who would read their vows first and a pinky swear to seal the deal. Friends took part as well including a reading from one of my favorite comic duos, Calvin and Hobbes. There was so much love in the air that day (as well as frigid wind which Jess and Eric braved for their first look). It is clear that they are surrounded by both great family and friends and I can't thank them enough for allowing me to be a part of their awesome wedding. Congratulations guys! You rock!
